'My name is Vladislav, my nickname is Happy. I live in Ukraine. But I really like the brightness of Asia. I try to show this in my work, it is a mixture of abstract art, pop culture, collage, fashion, new technologies, all this gives the world that is depicted. Japanese hieroglyphs basically do not carry workloads, they are auxiliary symbols and often, there it is written, a cafe, meditation, love, etc. I studied the director of animation films, and I always drew.'

I work on found vintage images as photos, paper scraps, postcards, vinyl covers and disks. I 'pimp' these objects giving to each one of them a brand new meaning and a more contemporary look.
As a collector of vintage papers, my fascination for the past helped me to follow up the fine art path and to turn my Academy studies (design and photography), into a personal art project. I also believe that manipulate these images can allow me to travel in time and space, that's why I like to create visual space-time portals over them.

'Pandemonium'
Pursuing the emotional abstraction of repetition, Pandemonium explores the idea of repetition as a way to connect and indulge alternate states of mind. The editorial focuses on maternal anthropological group development. Among the concepts, Sigmund Freud’s idea of “repetition compulsion” was explored to define common characteristics in our society where unconsciously, we repeat the same actions over and over again without the knowledge that it is being repeated. In a similar analysis some first nation tribes in South America create repetition cycles and repetitive dances to break old patterns, creating a momentary mental obsession over repetition. This ancient technique results in a process of self elevation through chaos.

Grids is an experimental series of graphical poster drafts. The posters combine collaged holiday photographs and 3D-generated sculptures. While the content and materials vary from work to work, a clearly defined grid is drawn through every poster.

I am a french collagist. I began the collage seven years ago. I work especially on series by looking constantly for different directions.
Three are extracted from a series of collages titled 'Green Lady' and the other four are extracted from a long series of more than 300 abstract, instinctive, spontaneous, impulsive collages.

My inspiration comes from my experience of mental illness. My methodology reflects how I process information; taking something, reimagining it, exploring its possibilities and making something new with it. Breaking things down, seeing them from a different perspective / in a different context helps me find something I can relate to / understand. I twist concepts, challenges perceptions and deal with difficult emotions / ugly topics by endeavouring to unveil something beautiful. What constitutes beauty? Does this process of distortion make the subject matter more approachable? easier to digest and understand?

Paper collage is at the core of my art practice. I am drawn to its immediacy and spontaneity. It is the perfect medium as it enables constant transformation. The collages ultimately take form in other mediums such as textiles. It is a depiction of the natural world and our relationship to it. Natural History, Victorian imagery, tales with anthropomorphic themes, are a source of inspiration for me. I meld together traditional collage techniques with distortion turning things upside down bringing the beautiful and ugly together. Sourcing and collecting imagery occurs over a period of time. Repetition is an important part of my method, endless cutting, constructing and breaking things down again. Various birds, beasts and flora reoccur throughout the work. They are sliced up, scaled up and morphed together to create strange and unexpected hybrids.

In my collages I play with color and shape, juxtaposing ordinary activities or landscape fragments with geometrical elements, offering a new perspective on the usual aspects of life and reality. As a particularity, in most of my works, I prefer concentrating the visual in the center of the work, surrounded by the emptiness of black or, on the contrary, the openness towards different possible perception, thoughts, interactions.

'Back to the beholder' is the motto behind my digital collages. Better said, a unique identity developed over years. I use present-day visual language and techniques and combine it with old, but fundamental, rules of painting and drawing. So many things subjectively shape our perception nowadays. All that can be used to move the beholder. Modern media influences, but also almost forgotten ideas about shapes, colors and expression. My wish is that the beholder feels addressed immediately without any further explanation in order to create a personal experience.

Largely inspired by his reflections on recent events, Lessons in Perspective focusses on the duality of perspective in situations and the need for empathetic resolve. Coming out of a very turbulent 2016, Scott became increasingly interested in the divisions among people and the way in which people engaged one another. To Scott, it wasn’t the issues themselves that gave pause, but the way they were discussed and the lack of empathy to one another’s point of view that only seemed to sharpen the edges of conversation and further distance any resolution. Taking notice from these situations, the works within the exhibition reflect on these situations in varying stages of acceptance and action.

'Botanical Catwalk' is a new series with a special focus on the female figure in synergy with nature and the loss of identity. She cuts and layers retro fashion and botanical imagery creating a work of art with a particular vision of beauty.
This combination of two completely recognizable elements merging into a new meaning without necessarily erasing their original content is a key factor in her research and working process.
The simplicity of the process itself is a harmonious balance between selecting and collecting the images before cutting and pasting them into a whole new context. By doing so an image that may seem very banal at first transforms itself.
